Tom Johnson works in Coordinator & Director Services at Grand River Solutions. Tom assists institutions across the country serving in their Title IX and equity offices. In his roles, Tom helps oversee compliance with federal, state, and local laws, responding to reported campus incidents, implementing policy, training, and facilitating equitable processes for all parties involved.
Tom has worked in higher education for over 17 years at both private and public institutions. Most recently, Tom served as the Title IX Coordinator at DeSales University, a Catholic-Salesian institution in Pennsylvania. Prior to DeSales, Tom was the Director of Title IX and Equal Opportunity Compliance at Rider University. In both positions, Tom was responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and conducting Title IX and EEO investigations. Tom also coordinated and facilitated training for the campus community and was responsible for policy development and revision. Before his work at Rider University, Tom held a number of positions at Temple University in residence life, student conduct, and wellness. Tom has also served as an adjunct faculty member undergraduate mediation and public health courses, and a graduate student affairs course.
Tom has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master of Education in Student Affairs in Higher Education Administration from Kutztown University. Tom also has a Master of Legal Studies from West Virginia University and a Doctorate of Education in Learning and Organizational Change at Baylor University.
