Program Review

Harassment | Discrimination | Conduct | Clery

Grand River Solutions conducts program reviews that offer a comprehensive, structured evaluation of how your organization implements and manages its equity-related legal obligations. For colleges, this includes Title IX, Title VI, Section 504, ADA, Clery, and related civil rights and safety laws. For businesses, reviews focus on Title VII, ADA, state nondiscrimination laws, and internal equity and harassment prevention frameworks.

Our program reviews go beyond checking whether policies exist–we assess how the procedures, processes, and systems put in place actually work in practice

Scope

Policies and Procedures

We examine written policies, grievance procedures, investigation protocols, standard operating procedures, and decision-making frameworks to ensure they align with current federal and state requirements and reflect best practices.

Intake, Response, and Resolution Processes

We evaluate how concerns are received, documented, assessed, investigated, and resolved. This includes timelines, supportive measures, interim actions, consistency of process and practice, and clarity of roles and responsibilities.

Organizational Structure and Roles

We review reporting lines, staffing models, and role responsibilities to determine whether equity responsibilities are clearly defined, appropriately resourced, and f ree f rom conflicts of interest.

Training

We assess role-specific training for coordinators, directors, investigators, decision-makers, HR professionals, supervisors, and leadership to help personnel be prepared to meet their obligations. We also review training materials for all employees and students and provide feedback on content and cadence.

Documentation and Recordkeeping

We review files, templates, notices, database and tracking systems for documentation and recordkeeping of all response and resolution efforts.

Access and Communication

We examine how information regarding the complaint reporting, response and resolution process is communicated to community members as well as the clarity of that communication to improve awareness and access to reporting processes and involvement in resolution of complaints.
