Lisa Recore is part of the Investigation, Hearing & Appeal Services Team at Grand River Solutions.
Lisa previously served as the Compliance Coordinator at the University of Albany. In that role she conducted Title IX investigations related to dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault, and sexual exploitation. Lisa also conducted investigations into protected class discrimination, harassment, hostile environment, and retaliation claims. Additionally, Lisa was responsible for policy development, policy implementation, and staff and student training.
Lisa has extensive experience investigating sexual violence cases and is certified in the FETI technique of trauma interviewing. Lisa has conducted comprehensive investigations into allegations of discrimination, harassment, hostile environment, and retaliation based on protected categories —including age, race, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, and national origin.
Before transitioning into higher education, Lisa served as a Senior Professional Conduct Investigator for the New York State (NYS) Education Department, conducting investigations into allegations of misconduct by NYS teaching certificate holders in the K-12 setting, with a focus on sexual and physical violence. She also worked as a Senior Caseworker for the Albany County Department of Children, Youth, and Families, conducting investigations into allegations of child sexual and severe physical abuse, including fatality investigations, and assisted in the creation of the Albany County Child Advocacy Center.
Lisa earned a Bachelor of Art in Psychology from Siena College.
