Karey Krohnfeldt
Director of Resolution Services
Karey Krohnfeldt is the Director of Resolution Services at Grand River Solutions. In this role, she oversees several of Grand River Solutions’ services including investigations, hearings, advising, appeals, and alternative resolutions.
Karey has extensive experience in civil rights, Title VII, Title IX, equal employment opportunity (EEO), employment law, and investigations. Prior to joining GRS, Karey served in a dual capacity as the Director of the Office of Equity and Title IX Coordinator for each CU Denver and CU Anschutz campuses. She has also worked as an independent consultant investigating EEO complaints for a number of Federal Executive Branch agencies across the country, an Assistant Director for an office of equity and diversity at a medium sized private research university in Southern California, as well as a Legal Analyst within the Federal Judiciary for the Central District of California in Los Angeles, California.
With over 25 years of investigations experience, Karey has conducted hundreds of investigations into allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation involving federal employees, as well as students, faculty, and staff in higher education. In addition to her experience as an investigator, Karey has also served as an Affirmative Action Officer, an ADA Coordinator, trainer, and certified mediator.
Karey received her J.D. from Whittier Law School and her B.A. in Political Science from San Diego State University. She currently resides high up in the Rocky Mountains of Southern Colorado with her spouse, their super mellow dog and extremely aloof cat.
