Coordinator & Director Services, Clery
Jess Ettell Irvine serves as the Clery Product Manager, leading the company’s Clery Services. In this role, she provides expert guidance on compliance with the Clery Act and oversees the development and delivery of Clery-related solutions in collaboration with other Clery team members. Jess acts as a primary point of contact for clients and manages project oversight to ensure successful execution of services. She also coordinates internal procedures to enhance workflow efficiency and supports the development of new services to better assist clients in meeting Clery Act requirements. Jess is also a member of the Coordinator and Director Services Team. She serves as a Title IX Coordinator and acts as an advisor during formal resolution processes for client institutions. Across both roles, she applies a strategic approach to aligning campus policies, procedures, and operational workflows to support effective compliance and coordination.
Before joining Grand River Solutions, Jess spent over a decade in various leadership roles in higher education. Her previous positions include Assistant Dean, Clery Compliance Coordinator, Director of Student Conduct, and both Title IX and Deputy Title IX Coordinator at several institutions. Her experience encompasses student conduct, Clery Act compliance, Title IX, prevention education, and crisis response. She has led behavioral intervention teams, chaired resolution processes, participated in emergency response teams, and developed institutional policies and protocols to streamline workflows.
Jess has particular expertise in designing and implementing prevention education programs. She has led campus-wide initiatives focused on bystander intervention, sexual violence prevention, alcohol and drug use, mental health, and hazing. She is highly skilled at integrating policy with practice and fostering cross-functional campus teams to address safety and compliance with student well-being at the forefront of her approach.
Jess holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from SUNY College at Brockport and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from the University at Buffalo.
