Investigation, Hearing, & Appeal Services
Isabel Mathews is part of the Investigation, Hearing, & Appeal Services team at Grand River Solutions. In addition to her role as an investigator, hearing advisor, and decision-maker, she has facilitated public training for Grand River Solutions.
Isabel previously served as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator and Civil Rights Investigator for Georgetown University, and as a Title IX Investigator for Grand Canyon University. Isabel has developed and facilitated campus-wide Title IX and diversity-related trainings and climate surveys. Isabel’s workshops have included topics such as bystander intervention, consent, incapacitation, gathering technological data within investigations, and diversity and inclusion. In her roles at Grand Canyon University and Georgetown University, she managed campus programming and compliance policies.
Prior to her work in in equal opportunity and academic compliance, Isabel worked as a case manager for inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation facilities specializing in mental illness and substance abuse where she gained experience in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
Isabel received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Berry College in 2017 and her master’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in forensic psychology from Grand Canyon University in 2020.
