Blaze Bowers is a Regional Account Manager for Grand River Solutions. In this role, Blaze facilitates relationships with and serves prospective and current clients in the Southeast and Southwest. He partners with schools, businesses, non-profits, and institutions of varying types, collaborating to assess organizational needs, identifying relevant solution services, and supporting clients through the implementation of services. Blaze engages with Grand River Solutions leadership and team members in strategic planning and business development, while collaborating to identify emerging needs and future solutions in respective client sectors. He also facilitates trainings, presentations, and single-matter coordinator support for partners nationwide.

Blaze is an experienced executive-level administrator in higher education compliance, civil rights, and student affairs and as a university faculty member. Blaze serves as an Editorial & Advisory Board Member for Wiley Publication’s Student Affairs Today and College Athletics & the Law publications. He is also Chair of the Awards Committee for the Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law & Policy at Stetson University College of Law.

Blaze has served as an assistant vice president for compliance, civil rights, and student affairs; a Title IX, EEO, and Civil Rights Coordinator; an institutional compliance officer; a non-tenure track faculty member; a chief student affairs officer; and a civil rights and compliance consultant, author, and trainer. He has served with Drexel University, Lincoln Memorial University, a private K-12 academy, external firms, and various organizations and associations. His education administration experience includes cabinet/executive-level leadership and stewardship of: Institutional compliance and risk, EEO, Civil Rights, Title IX, ADA/Section 504 compliance and operations, Student Affairs, Mental Health Services, TRIO programming, and Academic Success.

Blaze has authored and presented on topics including judicial deference; Title IX; religious liberties; enterprise risk management (ERM); civil rights and EEO; accessibility compliance; academic freedom; NIL; and the intersection of administrative, constitutional, and higher education law. His scholarship has been featured in the Florida Bar Journal, the Florida Bar’s Education Law Committee Journal, Campus Legal Advisor, College Athletics & the Law, Student Affairs Today, Disability Compliance, the Appalachian College Association’s (ACA) Teaching and Leadership Institute and Annual Summit, FICURMA’s Annual Compliance Conference, the Annual Wisconsin Higher Ed Summit, TICUA’s ELI, and Stetson’s Annual National Conference on Law and Higher Education. He has also been quoted in Diverse: Issues in Higher Education, Disability Compliance, and Higher Education Dive.

Blaze earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. He is also a graduate of Grace College & Seminary, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Social Studies Education and History. Blaze resides in the Knoxville, Tennessee area.
