Debbie Colucci serves on the Coordinator and Director Services Team at Grand River Solutions. She is an accomplished higher education leader with extensive experience advancing equity, inclusion, civil rights compliance, and organizational culture transformation. She has held senior roles overseeing institutional compliance with Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, ADA/Section 504, and other federal and state civil rights laws while fostering a campus environment grounded in fairness, access, and belonging.

Prior joining the Grand River Solutions team, Debbie spent the past twelve years at Wesleyan University served as Assistant Vice President for Equity & Inclusion and Title IX Coordinator at Wesleyan University where she led complex investigations involving discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct; advised university leadership on legal compliance and risk management; oversaw policy development and implementation; and designed institution-wide education and prevention initiatives. She collaborated closely with academic, administrative, and student affairs partners to strengthen campus climate, support workforce diversity efforts, and advance inclusive excellence.

A recognized voice in the field of equity and compliance, Debbie is a co-founder and leader of Connecticut’s higher education Title IX professional network and has served in statewide advisory capacities focused on sexual misconduct prevention and campus climate assessment. She is also a frequent presenter, facilitator, and author on topics related to civil rights compliance, sexual misconduct prevention, workplace equity, inclusion, and organizational culture.

Before Wesleyan, Debbie spent years as a student affairs professional at large and small, public and private institutions followed by several years with the Anti-Defamation League’s A World of Difference® Institute, developing and facilitating anti-bias education and diversity training programs for schools, colleges, workplaces, and community organizations throughout Connecticut; this work impacted thousands of students, educators, and professionals.

Debbie holds a Master of Science in College Student Personnel from Western Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts in Art with a minor in Psychology from Bowling Green State University. She maintains advanced professional certifications in Title IX administration, civil rights investigations, and compliance leadership, reflecting her ongoing commitment to excellence in the field.

Having grown up in the Finger Lakes of Upstate New York, Debbie has come to call New England her heart-home. When not working she loves coffee shops, bookstores, Cape Cod, the Buffalo Bills, and spending time at home with her family which includes their Labrador Retriever, Cabot.
