Managing Title VI Challenges and Conversations
Join us for an interactive workshop for developing the skills and the knowledge needed to better address Title VI concerns on campus.
This hands-on training will guide participants through practical scenarios related to Title VI. Participants will learn about the concepts of free speech and hostile environments. They will be provided ways to navigate and address the many complexities of these issues while providing for free speech without infringing on civil rights. The facilitators will utilize scenarios to walk attendees through responding to the tumultuous current events impacting today’s higher education professionals, including those related to student/faculty expression and protest. This training will equip attendees with skills needed to educate, defuse conflict, and promote civil discourse in their communities.
Given the interactive nature of this workshop, attendance will be capped.
