Training for Title IX Intake Notice Writing

During this interactive training, participants will learn best practices for writing and preparing a Notice of Allegation(s) and conducting an initial intake meeting with a complainant. Subject matter experts will lead a conversation on providing an overview and best practices, including trauma-informed approaches for facilitating a successful initial intake meeting. Part One will provide a deep-dive exploration of conducting intake meetings. Through interactive discussion, hands on activities, and reflective discussion, participants will explore methods to establish rapport, develop questions, and navigate complex emotional responses.

Part Two will focus on the essentials of drafting a compliant Notice of Allegation(s). During this portion of the training, participants will also practice compiling a compliant Notice of Allegation and Investigation. Our facilitators will work with participants to explore strategies to connect behaviors and incidents to institutional policies, enabling participants to confidently execute the drafting of allegations.
