Title IX Coordinator Services
Tom Johnson works in Title IX and Equity Coordinator Services at Grand River Solutions. Tom has a background in Title IX and EEO investigations, training campus communities, student conduct hearing and processes, and residence life.
Tom has worked in higher education for over 17 years at both private and public institutions. Most recently, Tom served as the Title IX Coordinator at DeSales University, a Catholic-Salesian institution in Pennsylvania. Prior to DeSales, Tom was the Director of Title IX and Equal Opportunity Compliance at Rider University. In both positions, Tom was responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and conducting Title IX and EEO investigations. Tom also coordinated and facilitated training for the campus community and was responsible for policy development and revision.
Before his work at Rider University, Tom held a number of positions at Temple University in residence life, student conduct, and wellness. Tom has coordinated campus-wide prevention initiatives and facilitated training sessions related to sexual violence, alcohol, and other drugs. During his time at Temple, Tom also served as an adjunct faculty member teaching mediation and public health.
Tom has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master of Education in Student Affairs in Higher Education Administration from Kutztown University. Tom also has a Master of Legal Studies from West Virginia University. Tom will be completing his Doctorate of Education in Learning and Organizational Change at Baylor University in August.
