Stephanie Smith is a Senior Solutions Specialist at Grand River Solutions. Stephanie has several years’ worth of experience in higher education and half a decade of experience within Virginia’s judicial system.  Prior to her role at Grand River Solutions, Stephanie was a Compliance Specialist in the Office of Institutional Equity at Radford University. In this role, she oversaw Title IX investigations into Dating Violence, Domestic Violence, Stalking, Sexual Assault, and Sexual Exploitation. Additionally, Stephanie oversaw Civil Rights investigations into Discrimination, Harassment, Hostile Environment (based on a protected class), and Retaliation. Stephanie has completed mediation training specific to Title IX investigations and Higher Education and has successfully mediated many issues between students, faculty, staff, and administration. Stephanie also created and conducted trainings for faculty, staff, and students.

Stephanie has served on the Sexual Assault Response Team in Roanoke, Virginia, since 2020 and is a current member of SCHEV (State Council of Higher Education-Virginia). Stephanie earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from Radford University and has completed several hours of coursework in the MSW (Master of Social Work) Program at Radford University.
