Roma Shah
Data & Analysis Solutions Specialist
Roma Shah currently serves as the Data and Analysis Solutions Specialist with Grand River Solutions, Inc. Roma was previously the Research and Assessment Program Coordinator at The State University of New York where she served as the Coordinator for the Sexual Violence Prevention Climate Survey. In this role, she led the development of the survey instrument, assisted in survey implementation, completed IRB applications, and conducted data analysis and report writing. Roma was also the development lead for the online violence prevention trainings SPARC and RAPID, which are used by hundreds of colleges across the country.
Roma has a background in violence prevention policy and biostatistics and has co-authored several peer-reviewed journal articles. Her research has focused on the mental health impacts of sexual and interpersonal violence and the experiences of survivors in the criminal justice and health care systems. She also has experience working as a case manager and survivor advocate.
Roma received a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland, and a B.S. from Rutgers University. She is currently a Doctor of Public Health student at the University at Albany.
