LaShun McGhee
Title IX Coordinator & EEO Director Services
LaShun serves in Title IX Coordinator and EEO Director Services with expertise in various educational settings spanning fifteen years in higher education. She has worked for several small and medium-sized four-year residential public and private, and two-year nonresidential public colleges and universities, along with K-12 school partnerships. In those roles roles, she informed students, employees, and third parties of their rights and provided response for acts of misconduct, harassment, and discrimination. She has often served in inaugural roles in Student Conduct, Compliance and Title IX Administration, Clery Act, and behavioral intervention teams (B.I.T.) and plans. She has led crisis response and intervention, primary prevention and awareness campaigns, and OCR voluntary resolution monitoring. LaShun has authored various policies and protocol developments for Title IX and intersecting statutes, led training programs for students, employees, community, and nonprofits, college and university decision-makers, administrators, and resolution personnel on their role, response, and obligations.
LaShun provided direct care for co-occurring populations for over a decade with certifications as addiction and mental health counselor, life coach, civil rights investigator, diversity and inclusion, and certified affirmative action professional. She holds degrees in psychology with a bachelor’s from Northern Illinois University and a master’s from National Louis University. She also serves on the Executive Advisory Board for a professional Consortium of Title IX Professionals and engages in her community.
