Joy Goodner
Director of Employment & Employee Experience
Joy Goodner (she, her, hers) joins Grand River Solutions as the inaugural Director of Employment and Employee Experience. She comes to us from the Toledo Museum of Art where she was responsible for Compensation and Benefits, Employee Relations, and HR Compliance. She has over 20 years of experience in all areas of Human Resources including talent management and engagement strategy, DEI, performance management, and talent development. Her industry expertise includes manufacturing, banking, non-profit, state government, healthcare and media. Goodner has served on the SHRM Board of Directors as a Diversity Director in both Colorado and Ohio.
She is a founding member of the DEAI ALLiance of Northwest Ohio which is an organization committed to developing and advancing the discussion around Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion to lead our community and region in implementing solution-oriented and sustainable practices for workforce development.
She earned a Human Resources Management Bachelor’s degree from Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama, and has a Certified Diversity Professional certification from the National Diversity Council, and holds a Mediation certification from the State of Texas.
Joy loves to spend time with her husband and family, volunteering with community organizations, traveling, cooking and also enjoys playtime with her grandson Ace.
