Title IX & Civil Rights Investigator

Jennifer Ananda is a Title IX and Civil Rights Investigator at Grand River Solutions. Jennifer’s background includes Title IX and EEO investigations, civil rights, employment law, and discrimination and harassment, Title IX and other student conduct hearings, administrative and informal resolutions, and policy and protocol creation and analysis.

Jennifer has more than a decade of experience working with students, staff, and faculty in higher education. Jennifer served as the Title IX Coordinator at Emporia State University, where she conducted investigations for Title IX, EEO, disability, and other discrimination and harassment complaints, facilitated Title IX hearings, provided education and training to students, staff, and faculty, and chaired the sexual violence task force at the university. Prior to her work at Emporia State University, Jennifer was the Deputy Title IX Coordinator and Policy Specialist at the University of Kansas, where she also investigated complaints of discrimination and harassment, participated in hearings, and provided education and training to students, staff, and faculty. Jennifer also participated as a hearing officer with other universities and served as an adjunct instructor.

Prior to her work with universities, Jennifer was a litigator, providing representation on civil, child in need of care, protection order, and immigration cases throughout Kansas.

Jennifer received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of law and her Masters in Social Welfare from the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare.
