Cherie A. Scricca
Co-Founder & Managing Director
Cherie Scricca has served institutions of higher education in leadership positions for more than 20 years. She is recognized for her entrepreneurial approach to program development and management, having created programs and academic initiatives drawing on the strengths of public and private partnerships. A passionate advocate for meaningful, effective solutions to interpersonal violence, her intimate understanding of the needs of students, faculty, and staff enables her to address highly sensitive issues among and across the diverse communities found on campuses.
In July 2014, Cherie co-founded Project IX, a nonprofit company dedicated to helping smaller secondary schools, colleges and universities effectively address issues of Title IX policies, response, education, and compliance. Project IX provided small, under-resourced institutions with customized, hands-on, assistance crafting Title IX sexual assault response procedures that reflected each institution’s values and unique culture.
Cherie has held leadership positions at both public and private universities giving her unparalleled insight into the organizational structure and operations of higher education institutions. These include University of Maryland, University of California at Berkeley; Occidental College; University of California, Hastings College of the Law; and Minnesota State University,
Cherie received her Ed.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Education in the management of higher education programs, where her research focused on “University-Industry Research Partnerships” in higher education. She received her M.S. in women’s studies from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and her B.A. in political science from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
