Title IX & Civil Rights Investigator, Hearing Advisor
Amy is a Senior Solutions Specialist at Grand River Solutions. Since 2014, Amy has worked in various roles conducting and overseeing campus investigations at institutions of higher education across the Western United States. Amy has investigated complaints of academic and non-academic conduct, workplace violence, pay equity, sexual misconduct, stalking, retaliation, and identity-based discrimination and harassment. Amy’s professional portfolio includes experiences as a Student Conduct Officer, Deputy DHR Administrator, Senior Deputy Title IX Officer, and Interim Title IX Coordinator.
Amy is versed in matters involving campus culture, compliance, policy change, and equity and inclusion. Amy has played a key role in the development and implementation of bystander intervention, implicit bias, and sexual assault prevention training programs. Before joining the team at Grand River Solutions, Amy served as the dual-campus Deputy Title IX and DHR Coordinator for University of Colorado, Denver and Anschutz Medical Campus.
Amy obtained a Master’s Degree in Education from California State University, Fullerton and credits her passion for higher education to her early experiences as a student assistant in Multicultural Programs. Amy is committed to assisting organizations with addressing and resolving complaints in a thoughtful, thorough, and empathetic manner.
