ABOUT OUR FACILITATORS

Title IX subject-matter experts Andrea Stagg, Kateeka Harris, and Emma Hempel will facilitate this session. 

Andrea Stagg

Andrea Stagg is the Director of Consulting Services at Grand River Solutions where she oversees Title IX and equity support, audits and compliance reviews, athletics consulting, accessibility and disability compliance, DEI initiatives, and Clery Act compliance solutions. Andrea has extensive experience in higher education in-house legal settings at public and private colleges and universities. She has published legal and compliance writing about sexual and interpersonal violence prevention and response, the Clery Act, NCAA compliance, and program integrity. She is a nationally sought after presenter and has advised federal and state legislators on best practices in campus safety and sexual harassment prevention. Andrea is a recipient of the Commissioner’s Award from the State University Police as well as the First Decade Award from the National Association of College and University Attorneys.

Kateeka Harris

Kateeka J. Harris has nearly two decades of experience in higher education at four-year and two-year colleges and universities including Title IX compliance, student conduct, multicultural program administration, and undergraduate admissions. Kateeka is a nationally recognized expert in Student Conduct and Title IX Administration and has held leadership positions within the Association for Student Conduct Administration, including President.

Emma Hempel

Emma Hempel is a Senior Solutions Specialist at Grand River Solutions. Emma serves as a Title IX Coordinator for campuses across the country. With over ten years of experience in the field of higher education, she previously served as the Title IX Coordinator at the State University of New York at New Paltz. In her previous role, she conducted all Title IX intakes for survivors of sexual and interpersonal violence. She developed and implemented a variety of trainings and workshop on topics including sexual violence prevention, sexual harassment, bystander intervention, and diversity and inclusion.
