Grand River Solutions is pleased to partner on the first-of-its-kind Clery Act State of the Field Survey designed to gather benchmark data from and for Clery Act practitioners across the country. The goals of the Clery Act State of the Field Survey, developed by Clery Center, are to identify what institutional resources and support are being dedicated to Clery Act implementation, what trends in how institutions are interpreting and implementing Clery Act requirements, how external resources and systems are being utilized for Clery Act implementation, and which challenges or concerns institutions are navigating with Clery Act implementation.
“Having been privileged to learn from, work with, and teach alongside Clery Center, we are deeply honored to support their first-ever survey of the field of Clery Act practitioners,” said Senior Director of Compliance and Innovation Joseph Storch. “Clery Center has faithfully borne out the vision of the Clery community to drive the work of campus safety forward. But the next steps require more data. We must know as a field ‘where we are,’ to measure our progress towards ‘where we are going.’ We hope everyone who works in this space takes a few minutes to fill out this survey.”
The survey data will be made available to the public, free of charge. We encourage everyone who works at an institution of higher education and has any Clery Act related responsibilities to participate. Your participation in this survey is vital to show important nationwide trends across all aspects of Clery Act compliance.
Jess Ettell Irvine, Clery Product Manager, said “it is humbling to be part of a survey like this as someone that has utilized Clery Center multiple times throughout my career and looked to them when I began my own work as a practitioner. While people are wrestling to understand the complexities that can come with compliance, the staff members at Clery Center are dedicated to making sure that all practitioners have access to this invaluable support.”
